We’ve seen a lot of people asking questions on facebook groups, searching on google about how to add google analytics code or Adsense code in a WordPress theme. So we decided to provide separate options to do so.
How To Add Scripts & Styles In Header Of The HTML Code –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings > Styles & Scripts Section > Add Styles & Scripts in Header. Here you can add styles and javascript code in the header of the HTML code of the playlet theme.
How To Add Scripts & Styles In Footer Of The HTML Code –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings > Styles & Scripts Section > Add Styles & Scripts in Footer. Here you can add styles and javascript code in the footer of the HTML code of the playlet theme.
Note: Make sure styles are enclosed with <style> tag and javascript code is enclosed with <script> tag. Else it won’t work.
Playlet Services Settings
Almost each and every business is known because of its services. So we’ve designed a separate section for services. These are also known as feature boxes where one can represent his/her business features. It’s pretty easy to configure and setup the services on the home page. We’ve provided a total of 6 services on the home page. One can easily change or add content to it.

We’ve designed this theme to provide ease and flexibility for the user. This is one of the best features of the theme. People find difficulty in changing the layouts. Either they are forced to use page builders or to approach developers to achieve this. But with this theme, they don’t have to do any of them.
Here’s where section sorting comes. The user can simply shift, adjust and sort sections according to their requirements. They can even turn on and off any section to meet their requirements.

How To Sort Home Page Sections –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Home Page Settings > Section Sorting. You can simply drag and drop the sections up and down. You can even turn on and off the section by clicking on the eye icon visible at the left side of each section.

- Pricing Plan Price – You can set price for the pricing table here.
- Pricing Plan Features – You can add features for the pricing table here. Multiple Features should be separated by the comma.
- Pricing Plan Link – You can add the link for the pricing table here. You can add the link of your sales page, service or anything else.
Playlet Mobile Menu
We’ve powered the mobile menu with social icons along with the logo. We have a separate mobile menu to optimize the speed of the theme. Also, there’s an option to upload the mobile logo separately, as it’s going to be way too small in comparison to larger screens like a desktop.
How To Add Social Icons In Mobile Menu –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Mobile Settings > Mobile Social Icons to add social icons in the mobile menu. You just have to paste the links of your social platforms in their respective fields. You can add links for following social platforms –
- Google Plus
- RSS
- Youtube

How To Add Logo In Mobile Menu-
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Mobile Settings > Mobile Logo/Background. Upload the logo file in PNG or JPEG format. Recommended size for the logo is 185px X 45px. You can also add alt text for the logo.
How To Add Background Image In Mobile Menu
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Mobile Settings > Mobile Logo/Background. You can upload the background image for the mobile menu here.
Note: Make sure the size of the image used for mobile menu background should not exceed 2KB. Else it will affect the site speed in mobile & tablet devices.
Playlet Header Options
Header comes with a logo space which powers up your web presence and a call-to-action button to maximize your leads & sales.
How To Setup The Header –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Header to access the header options.
How To Upload The Logo –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Header > Logo. Upload the logo file in PNG or JPEG format. Recommended size for the logo is 245px X 60px.
How To Upload The Logo –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity. You can upload the site favicon here. Recommended size for the favicon is 512px X 512px
Call-to-action Button Settings –
You can turn on and off the call-to-action button. You can also change the text and link of the call-to-action-button.

How To Add Heading & Description Of Blog Section On Home Page –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Home Page Settings > Blog > Blog Section Heading to add heading text.
Similarly, Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Home Page Settings > Blog > Blog Section Description if you want to add the description for the blog section.
How To Choose Blog Categories To Display On Home Page
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Home Page Settings > Blog > Blog Categories. Select categories whose posts you would like to show on home page. You can select multiple categories. If you won’t select any of the categories, 4 posts which are recently published will get displayed.
Playlet Banner Settings
The banner section is specially designed to increase your leads and boost up your sales. You can redirect your users to your service page, product page and something else which you think is important from here.
How To Add Heading And Description Text For Banner Section –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Banner > Banner Heading to add heading text
Similarly, Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Banner > Banner Description, if you want to add the description of the banner section.
How To Add Button Text & Links In Banner Section –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Banner. You can add button text and link for both the buttons here. It won’t be visible if you will leave any of them empty. So if you would like to have only one button, you can leave the second button text and link empty.
How To Add Image In Banner Section –
Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Mobile Settings > Banner > Banner Image. You can upload the banner image from here.
What’s Included
When you download the Playlet theme from your account on ThemeMantis, you download the complete package (.zip file) which includes folders and files related to the theme. Following is the list of files includes in the package –
- Documentation – You can check the theme’s general info and link to the online documentation. (maybe we can create and include a PDF file)
- Playlet.zip – The main theme file.
- Changelog – It’s a list of the changes made in the theme.
- Demo Content – Demo files which can be easily imported manually.
- Licensing – Information about the general license.
Theme Requirements
Below are the recommended configuration and settings under which the theme will work perfectly and will avoid errors like a blank screen, theme installation error or, demo content import fails. You can configure the changes yourself or you can contact and ask your hosting provider to them up for you.
Of course, these are not the absolute values, as the performance of the theme varies and depends on hosting, server configuration, bandwidth etc.
Server Requirements –
- WordPress 4.0 or later
- Apache or Nginx
- PHP version 5.4 or greater
- MySQL version 5.5 or greater
- The mod_rewrite Apache module must be enabled
WordPress recommends PHP version 7.0, but we still recommend PHP version 5.5 to maintain backward compatibility with many plugins.

PHP Requirements –
- upload_max_filesize 40M
- post_max_size 128M
- max_execution_time 180 (Execution time should be increased if the server is slow and unable to import data.)
- max_input_vars 5000
- php.ini memory_limit: 64MB
You can check your PHP settings by installing WordPress php_info() plugin. Also, you can ask your hosting provider if you don’t have enough knowledge.
Hosting Requirements –
Hosting is one of the major factor responsible for the performance of the WordPress. If WordPress is working perfectly on your hosting space, the theme should too.
Performance depends on the type of hosting and type of hosting depends on the number of visitors you’re getting on your website.
Cheap Shared Hosting –
Generally, this kind of hosting has a limitation of number of visitors to 1-2000 unique users per day. If you’re not getting much traffic and not using a lot of plugins, then you can choose this hosting for you business. You website might get down in case of heavy traffic.
VPS Hosting –
Range for number of visitors varies from 2000-6000 unique users per day for this type of hosting. More RAM your server has, more the performance you will get. VPS can handle traffic really well if configured properly with enough RAM and a swap partition.
Dedicated Server –
It is one of the most efficient and powerful solution recommended for a well running business. It has a capability of handling over 6000 unique visitors per day and handling the traffic way ahead of the rest of the hosting types.
Theme Installation
ThemeMantis theme can be installed by using two methods –
- Installation via WordPress
- FTP Installation
Installation via WordPress –
Installing a ThemeMantis theme through WordPress is easy and simple process. You just need to follow these steps –
- Login to WordPress admin section.
- Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
- Click Install Themes and then click the Upload button.
- Navigate the zip file of the theme (example: playlet.zip) on your computer and click Install Now.
- After the installation of the theme, navigate to Appearance > Themes. Click on the Activate button appearing on the hover of the theme you want to install.
- After theme activation, you will be redirected to the welcome screen, where you can check system status, backup & restore options, support & documentation links etc.
- Also, you will be asked to install the recommended plugins for the theme. Install and activate the recommended plugins according to your requirements.
Installation via FTP –
Before FTP installation, you need to take following steps –
- Download the theme package file (.zip file) from your account on ThemeMantis.
- Extract the zip file on your local computer and navigate to theme.zip (Ex: playlet.zip – this is the theme file you’re going to install).
- Make sure you’ve a FTP client software like Filezilla installed on your computer.
- Also, you need FTP credentials to login to your host via FTP client.
Below are the steps you need to take for FTP installation of the WordPress theme –
- Log into your FTP client to access your hosting server.
- Upload the zip file in wp-content/themes on your server. Extract the zip file.
- After uploading, you need to activate the theme from your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Appearance > Themes and activate your theme.
- After the theme installation, you will be redirected to the welcome screen where you can check system status, backup & restore options, support & documentation links etc.
- Also, you will be asked to install the recommended plugins for the theme. Install and activate the recommended plugins according to your requirements.
NOTE –
- Please do not upload the theme package file as you will definitely get an error. You only need to upload the theme zip file, i.e, main file (Ex: playlet.zip, not playlet-package.zip).
- If you’re getting an error like, “Are you sure you want to do this?” while installing via WordPress, you need to check PHP settings on your hosting server. Some servers have upload_max_filesize to 2mb which is the reason you might get an error. To solve this problem,
- Either you need to increase the maximum upload size to 30MB on your hosting panel.
- Or you can ask your hosting provider to do it for you if you do not have the privileges to modify PHP settings on the server.
